Can I keep the hens at the end of the rental ?
Yes you can ! for a nominal buy-out cost you can keep everything you have just rented.

Can I rent the same hens next year?
Yes you can ! we tag the hens when we pick them up so we can reserve them for you.

How long is the rental for?
Normally it is between May - October, we are flexible with the date of returning and you can keep them into November if you prefer.

What happens if a chicken dies or gets lost?
We understand that this can happen and you will only be charged $30 to add another hen to our Hire a Hen rental flock.

Who can rent chickens?
Anyone with a heart for hens can rent from us! We cater to a wide range of customers, including families, schools, care homes, colleges, and urban farms. As long as you have a suitable outdoor space and a willingness to learn, you're eligible to rent our lovely ladies

How does the rental process work?
It's as easy as pie! Once you choose a rental package, we arrange delivery options. We'll also help with placement evaluation and provide you with all the instructions you need to care for your new feathered friends.

​What do I need to do to care for the chickens?
Don't worry, we've got you covered with all the information you need. You'll receive a training document and have access to a Zoom meeting for detailed instructions. Basic care includes feeding, watering, and cleaning the coop. We're here to support you every step of the way!
